Altar Servers

The Altar Servers ministry invites parish boys and girls - 5th grade through high school to serve at the table of the Lord participate. These volunteer servers assist at Mass and other liturgical services. Training is required prior to serving. It is out of ones baptism into the Body of Christ that we are called to this ministry. Some at Our Lady of the Lake have served well into their high school years.

Environment

The seasonal banners, flowers, plants and art enhance the worship space and reflect the season and sacraments in an integral way. Volunteers who share artistic and arranging talents and interests are needed, as well as people who setup, water plants and generally assist with a variety of tasks to prepare the Sanctuary and Eucharistic chapel for worship services.

Extraordinary Ministers of Eucharist

The only minister who, in the person of Christ, can bring into being the sacrament of the Eucharist, is a validly ordained priest.

Lectors

The Lector serves the liturgical assembly by proclaiming the Sacred Scripture during the Liturgy of the Word.

Liturgy Advisory Board

The work of LAB is to ensure that every liturgical celebration within the parish is planned well and presented so that these liturgies are a source of spiritual strength, inspiration and hope for all participants.

Music Ministry

The lively music of our Parish is supported by more than 30 volunteer musicians who serve the Masses at 5:00 pm Saturday, 8:00 am and 10:30 am Sunday, and the 12:15 pm Spanish Mass.

Sacristy

The sacristan is a member of the parish who is ultimately responsible for the material preparations for all liturgical services at the church. The sacristan is responsible for the recruitment, training, development, scheduling and supervision of the volunteers that assist in this ministry. Other duties include the caring for the sacristy, the church, and their contents, maintaining adequate inventory of supplies and care of the altar cloths, vestments and altar vessels, making ready for the Mass. Sewing, washing, and ironing the linens used for the weekend and daily masses, holy days of obligation and other liturgical services are joyfully and prayerfully done by this ministry.

Ushers

An Usher is the representative of Christ and of our Church image. The Usher is one of the sources of our first contact with new comers.
