Catholic Mothers Council

The Catholic Mother's Council was formed in 1988.  Our group was formed to promote fellowship, spiritual growth, and cultivate Christ-centered friendships for the mothers at Our Lady of the Lake.  We hope to accomplish this through serving each other and our church.  We meet the first Wednesday of each month from 9-11:15 a.m. (babysitting is provided).  Mother's Night Out are held on the first Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. in the Rockwall area.  

Membership and Dues
Membership is available to all mothers with young children.  Membership dues are $10 per year.

Fundraising Events
CMC is involved in a variety of fundraisers that benefit the parish and the parish children and families.  CMC members support other parish organizations in meeting church and community needs.  Some of the support activities are:

Prayer Chain
CMC offers a prayer chain for members' family and friends who are facing a special challenge in their life.  It provides great comfort and spiritual support during difficult times.

CMC Committees

Sunshine-Coordinates meals in time of need, sends messages of condolences and get well to CMC members, organizes Prayer Chain and Mother's Blessing and contact to the parish's Bereavement Committee.
Historian-Maintains recording of CMC events throught scrapbook.
Easter Egg Hunt-Coordinates the annual Easter egg hunt.
Jesse Tree-Correlates and assists CCW, Knights of Columbus and St. Vincent de Paul Society for the annual Christmas toy drive.
Nursery-Arranges & manages babysitter for all general meetings.
Bake Sale-Coordinates bake sale events to our parish.
Tamale Sale-Coordinates tamale sale events to our parish.
Santa's Breakfast-Organizes Annual Chrildren's Santa's Breakfast for our parish, coordinates with Youth Director & Youth Group for volunteering.
Hospitality-Directs staffing of Hospitality workers after Sunday Mass on the 2nd Sunday of each month.
Membership-Inviting Mothers to join CMC by passing out brochures, contacting the Faith Formation office and contacting office for Baptisms.
Vacation Bible School-Coordinates the annual Vacation Bible School with the Faith Formation Office.
