Our Lady Of The Lake Our Lady Of The Lake

Grief Ministry

"Do not let your hearts be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house there are many dwelling places. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, so that where I am, there you may be also." -John 14:1-3

Grief has no timetable, knows no bounds.

The purpose of the Grief Support Group is outreach ministry to console and support individuals who are mourning the death of a loved one.

You do not need to spend your Wednesday or Saturday mornings alone - please come for a morning of prayer, support, and sharing.

Our group provides an opportunity for you to learn about the grief process, share your loss and emotions, and spend special time with others who have experienced a similar loss in support and in prayer.

The Grief Ministry Support Group meets on Wednesday mornings from 10:30 am-12 noon. A new group has begun meeting on Saturday mornings from 10:00 am-12 noon. Both groups meet in the St. Anne Room.

A Day of Prayer and Reflection is held during the month of November followed by a Candlelight Service to honor those members of our parish or relatives of Our Lady of the Lake who have died during the past year. Here at Our Lady of the Lake we want the grieving members of our parish community to know that the people of the parish are supportive and that “for your faithful, life has changed, not ended...”
