The mission of the Consolation Ministry is to convey the parish’s deepest sympathy and offer spiritual support and the healing comfort of God to all who have experience the death of a loved one through the presence of our Consolation Ministers.

Consolation Ministers represent the parish community by offering a gentle, supportive, non-judgmental presence when assisting family members to plan funeral liturgy(ies) and guiding them through the funeral Mass. Consolation Ministers also represent the parish at funeral home vigil services, funeral Mass, and represent the parish in attending grave-site services. Planning a funeral is a complicated process, which is made even more difficult by the emotional stress that accompanies the death of a loved one. Fortunately, many of the arrangements can be made ahead of time, which will decrease the burden on those left behind.
