Safe Environment
At Our Lady of the Lake, we are dedicated to providing a safe environment for our children and youth and for those in special needs. Compliance with the Catholic Diocese of Dallas Safe Environment Policy is an important objective for all staff members and volunteers. Therefore anyone who desires to work/volunteer with our children, youth, senior citizens or vulnerable adults, must complete the following procedures at the beginning of your employment or volunteer service within the Diocese and Our Lady of the Lake:
A Safe Environment Committee, made up of a group of volunteers, assist the Pastor and the Safety Director in implementing the Safe Environment Program of the Parish. It is the purpose of the Safe Environment Committee and the Safe Environment program to reduce the risk of abuse or neglect of any kind and to provide a safe and nurturing environment for staff, both paid and volunteer, and for parishioners of all ages.
